Privacy Policy

The Short Version

Keet is built on a simple promise: your voice audio never leaves your machine. No voice recordings are uploaded, stored, or transmitted anywhere. By default, your text transcriptions also stay entirely on your device. If you explicitly choose to connect an optional third-party AI service (like OpenRouter), your text—but never your audio—will be transmitted directly to them for processing. Keet itself has no servers that receive or see your data.

Local Processing (Default)

Right out of the box, Keet runs completely locally. Your voice and the text it produces stay strictly on your device. We do not collect, store, or have any access to your audio or the transcriptions you generate.

Optional AI Enhancements

Keet includes an opt-in feature to enhance your dictation using AI via OpenRouter. If you explicitly authorize and connect this integration, Keet will send your locally-generated text transcripts to the OpenRouter API to be polished.

Crucially, your raw voice audio is never sent. Only the text transcript is transmitted. Data processed through this integration flows directly from your machine to OpenRouter and is governed by OpenRouter's Privacy Policy.

Payment Information

Purchases are processed securely by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor. Keet never receives, handles, or stores your full credit card number or payment credentials. Stripe's own privacy policy governs how your payment data is handled on their end.

No AI Training

Under our default local mode, your voice and transcribed text never leave your device, meaning they can never be used to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI model. If you explicitly choose to route your text through OpenRouter, that specific text data becomes subject to the data practices and training policies of OpenRouter and the specific model creators you select.

Your Rights

We don't collect personal data beyond what your payment processor handles during purchase. If you have privacy-related questions or requests — including GDPR or CCPA inquiries — email us at hello@keet.fast and we'll respond within 1 business day.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and, where possible, displaying a notice in the Keet application. Your continued use of Keet after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
